HIV, Hepatitis C, and Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Information

At-home STI tests available at no cost!

С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Public Health is now offering free, at-home STD test kits to the public, making it more convenient than ever for individuals to take charge of their health. Residents can pick up a test kit at the pharmacy inside the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Public Health Center or at one of our regional centers. No appointment is necessary, ensuring a simple and accessible way to get tested.

Using the test kit is easy:

  1. Take the test kit home.
  2. Collect a blood and urine sample.
  3. Mail the sample using the pre-paid packaging.
  4. Receive test results within 2-5 days.

If someone tests positive, С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Public Health can assist with treatment and connect them to the care they need.

The HIV/STD Program provides prevention education and testing services throughout С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County.

HIV, Hepatitis C, and STD testing are available at the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Public Health Building (10 Sunnybrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27610).                        

  • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (8 a.m.–5 p.m.) Tuesday (9 a.m.–5 p.m.)
  • Call: 919-250-4410 to schedule an appointment (Walk-ins accepted, but appointments are strongly encouraged)

HIV/STD Evening Clinic (Clinic E)
С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Public Health Building (10 Sunnybrook Road, Raleigh, NC 27610)

  • Free and Confidential testing for (HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Hepatitis C)      
  • No Appointment Needed!                                                
  • Every Tuesday and Thursday (5:30–7:30 p.m.); follow-up test results are given on-site between 7:30–8 p.m.

Hepatitis C Clinic (Clinic A)

  • By Hepatitis C program referral appointment only
