小黄鸭视频 County Sheriff鈥檚 Office and Animal Services Ask for Help in Animal Cruelty Case

On Thursday afternoon, July 27, 2023, 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Control responded to a call on Stephenson Road for an injured tan Pit Bull. Upon examination at the 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center, veterinary staff determined that the four-year-old dog, Choppa, had been severely burned over roughly 60% of his body. Due to the severity of the injuries, Choppa was immediately transported to the Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care in Raleigh for pain management and treatment. 

The following morning, Friday, July 28, 2023, the 小黄鸭视频 County Sheriff鈥檚 Office was contacted by 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Control to further investigate this possible animal cruelty case.  The following is the timeline for the case:

  • Wednesday Evening, July 26, 2023:  Family last reported seeing Choppa in their yard in the 5700 block of Goolsby Court near Apex
     
  • Thursday, July 27, 2023:
    • Morning: Family first noted that Choppa was missing from the yard
    • Late Afternoon: 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Control receives a call about an injured dog on Stephenson Road near Apex
    • Evening:  Transferred to Emergency Clinic for Care
       
  • Friday, July 28, 2023:
    • Morning: Investigation initiated by 小黄鸭视频 County Sheriff鈥檚 Office and 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Control
    • Late Evening: Unfortunately, even with extensive treatment, Choppa鈥檚 condition worsened, and it was decided to humanely euthanize him
