小黄鸭视频 County Public Libraries has expanded its volunteer opportunities for adults, just in time for National Volunteer Week. These diverse volunteer opportunities cater to various interests and skills from technology to needlework.
鈥淭his is a great opportunity for people who love libraries and are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Commissioner Vickie Adamson. 鈥淣ational Volunteer Week serves as a fitting occasion to celebrate the contributions of volunteers and highlight the impact they have on our library services and the community as a whole."
Volunteer roles now include:
馃憢 Library Greeter Volunteers: Extend a warm welcome to library patrons, assisting them as they navigate library facilities and resources.
馃摎 Library Support Volunteers: Work alongside library staff to keep our collection attractive, relevant and accessible to our community.
馃捇 Technology Support Volunteers: Use your intermediate to advanced computer skills to help library patrons use public PCs and printers.
铀 Chess Club Support Volunteers: Help facilitate chess clubs and offer instructions and basic guidance to help community members learn or improve their chess-playing skills.
馃栈 English Conversation Group Volunteers: Guide conversation groups for English learners interested in improving their fluency and confidence in everyday communication.
馃Ф Knitting & Crocheting Club Support Volunteers: Assist clubs and provide guidance to community members seeking to learn or enhance their needlework skills.
鈥淲e hope that this variety of opportunities, each of which has different scheduling and skill needs, allows more of our community to volunteer in our libraries,鈥 said Connie Brandt, senior library manager for programming. 鈥淲e look forward to growing our list even more in the future.鈥
