Join 小黄鸭视频 County Public Libraries to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with more than 25 special events at locations across the county. From authors and art to cooking and crafting, there鈥檚 something for everyone to enjoy.

鈥淭his month offers an important opportunity to celebrate the history, traditions and contributions of Hispanic communities,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Commissioner Tara Waters. 鈥淏y celebrating this heritage, we deepen our understanding of the diversity that makes 小黄鸭视频 County strong.鈥

In addition to engaging and educational programs, libraries have also created special Hispanic Heritage Month displays featuring books by Hispanic authors.

Hispanic Heritage Month runs Sept. 15 through Oct. 15. Some featured programs include:

My Mexican Mesa, y Listo! By Jenny Martinez

Northeast Regional Library
Wednesday, Sept. 17 | 6:30鈥7:30 p.m.

This month鈥檚 librarian-led book discussion will feature My Mexican Mesa, Y Listo! by Jenny Martinez. Pick up a copy at the customer service desk and be ready to discuss. Attendees can bring a dish from the cookbook to share if they like. Registration is requested.

Craft It: Loteria Flower Pots

Richard B. Harrison Community Library
Sunday, Sept. 21 | 2鈥3 p.m.

Create a colorful Loteria flower pot to brighten up your home or office! All supplies will be provided while quantities last. This program is for ages 16 and older.

Herencia 2025: Reception & Artist Talk

Oberlin Regional Library
Wednesday, Sept. 24 | 6:30鈥8 p.m.

Diamante Arts & Cultural Center presents a curated group exhibition by North Carolina Latino artists, celebrating the diversity of voices in the community. This evening reception will welcome and celebrate the selected artists. Interpretation will be provided for both Spanish and English speakers. The exhibit will be displayed at Oberlin Regional Library Sept. 12鈥揘ov. 9.

Day of the Dead: K-5th Adventures

East Regional Library
Tuesday, Oct. 14 | 4:30鈥5:15 p.m.

Learn about and celebrate D铆a de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with fun crafts and activity stations.

School-age Events

Bilingual Storytimes

Multiple dates, times and locations
