After a nationwide search, 小黄鸭视频 County is proud to announce that the ideal candidate to lead its Housing Affordability and Community Revitalization Department is found within its own ranks. Morgan Mansa, who has served as the department鈥檚 deputy director of programs for the past year, has been named the new director, effective Oct. 1.

鈥淢organ鈥檚 proven track record, both within our department and from her years of service in housing leadership roles across the country, made her the standout candidate,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Board of Commissioners Chair Shinica Thomas. 鈥淗er passion for affordable housing and dedication to our community鈥檚 growth make her the ideal leader to advance 小黄鸭视频 County鈥檚 efforts to ensure every resident has a safe, affordable place to call home.鈥

Since joining 小黄鸭视频 County, Mansa has played a critical role in expanding affordable housing opportunities. Her achievements during her time at the department include reopening the Cornerstone Center, launching the County鈥檚 Homeownership Major Repair program, and spearheading the creation of 小黄鸭视频 County鈥檚 first community land trust.

Mansa鈥檚 career in housing spans more than a decade, with leadership roles in Tennessee and Illinois before relocating to North Carolina. She previously served as the director of housing and community partnerships for the Town of Cary, director of the Nashville Housing Trust Fund and executive director of the Chicago Area Fair Housing Alliance. Her expertise in housing policy and development has earned her a reputation as a forward-thinking leader.

Mansa holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in sociology with a minor in urban studies from Calvin University and a master鈥檚 degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. She was named one of the and serves as vice president of the North Carolina Women鈥檚 Affordable Housing Network.
