Public urged to help

The 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center is facing a critical capacity, with only a handful of kennels remaining. As of today, the Center is caring for 236 dogs, two puppies, 59 cats, 197 kittens, two rabbits and two rats, and is rapidly running out of space.
鈥淲e are doing everything we can to avoid having to make heartbreaking choices,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Commissioner Shinica Thomas. 鈥淭he community has always stepped up when we鈥檝e needed them most, and now is one of those times.鈥
To help ease overcrowding, the Center is waiving adoption fees for all dogs and cats who have been on the adoption floor for 15 days or more. The special runs from Thursday, May 29, through Sunday, June 8.
There are several ways the public can help:
- Foster an animal through the 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center or one of its local rescue partners
- Volunteer time and skills to support daily care
- Reunite found pets with their owners rather than bringing them to the shelter
- Rehome pets independently when possible
