Find Your Lucky Charm at the 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center this March

St. Patrick's Day adoption special March 11-17, adult dogs: $25, adult cats: name your price

This month, do more than wear green or hunt for four-leaf clovers...celebrate the patron saint of Ireland by adopting a pet this St. Patrick鈥檚 Day!

Following the urgent adoption plea issued by the 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center on March 5, we're launching a special adoption campaign allowing all the pet lovers to find their special charm at our shelter.

From March 11 through 17, adoption fees are discounted for adult dogs and cats. It鈥檚 just $25 to take home a dog, and you can "name your price" for cats.

The community is already helping answer our plea, adopting 21 cats and 30 dogs just in five days, but we still need your help! There are still 75 dogs and eight cats waiting in the shelter kennels for their forever homes. Additionally, 11dogs and seven cats are being cared for by foster families, ready for adoption too.

鈥淪ave some green this month by taking advantage of the St. Patrick鈥檚 markdowns,鈥 said Vickie Adamson, 小黄鸭视频 County Commissioner. 鈥淚t鈥檚 so incredible that these low adoption fees include all the spay/neuter surgery, microchipping and the required vaccinations.鈥

Regular adoption fees at the center are usually $95 for dogs, $45 for cats under five years old, and $15 for cats that are greater than five years old.

鈥淲e鈥檙e lucky to have our community support,鈥 said Dr. Jennifer Federico, director of the 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center. 鈥淲e hope our community will celebrate this St. Patrick鈥檚 Day by adopting a pet. Your family will be the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for these homeless pets.鈥

In addition to reducing fees, the Animal Center staff and volunteers will help you find the best match. They ask potential adoptions for information that will help them make a match with the best pet. Everyone adores puppies and kittens, but staff will help show you how adult pets are sometimes an even better choice for adoption because these animals have already settled into their traits and personalities. That helps take the guesswork out of wondering how a pet will fit in with your family or lifestyle.

Ready to adopt? Check out our or come by and see the sweet faces for yourself! The shelter is open for adoptions daily from noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week. The 小黄鸭视频 County Animal Center is located at , near the intersection of I-440 and New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.
