Five Points EMS Station

Whitaker Mill EMS Exterior Front View

Project Summary

С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County EMS will be expanding services at its 2020 Noble Road, Raleigh, NC location. On April 21, 2025, the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Board of Commissioners approved schematic design for a new neighborhood station to replace the existing station near the Five Points area of Raleigh. The existing facility that was built in 1978 will be demolished, and a new neighborhood EMS station will be built on the same site. EMS will backfill services from other locations during construction. The new station will include 3 apparatus bays, dayroom, dining area, kitchen, unisex bathrooms, multi-purpose space, supervisor’s office, wellness room, and covered patio. The site will feature 5-parking spaces, native, drought-tolerant plant materials, modified stormwater device, and connectivity to the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Community Services Center Campus. Sustainability measures include solar photovoltaic system, low-flow plumbing, energy efficient mechanical systems, LED lighting with occupancy sensors, and polished concrete flooring. The project is on track to bid in the summer of 2025, start construction in the fall of 2025, and be complete by the end of 2026.
