小黄鸭视频 County Public Health urges measles vaccination amid rising cases nationwide

As cases continue to grow across the country, 小黄鸭视频 County Public Health is urging families to make sure both their children and themselves are protected against measles. The vaccine is the best defense against this highly contagious and potentially serious disease.

While no cases of measles have been confirmed in 小黄鸭视频 County since 2016, the resurgence of cases in multiple states means it could easily pop up in our community if prevention methods aren鈥檛 followed.

鈥淢easles isn鈥檛 just a childhood illness鈥攊t can be dangerous for people of all ages, especially babies, older adults and those with weakened immune systems,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Public Health Director Rebecca Kaufman. 鈥淰accination protects not just you and your family, but also your neighbors and the community.鈥

Measles spreads through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes and it鈥檚 so contagious that up to 90% of people nearby who aren鈥檛 immune will also become infected.
