The 5th Annual Youth Food Security Summit, hosted by 小黄鸭视频 County Cooperative Extension, will bring teens together on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at John Chavis Memorial Park. The free, one-day event gives students in grades 9鈥12 the opportunity to connect with peers, learn from community leaders and build real-world skills while working on solutions to food insecurity.
鈥淭oday鈥檚 students are tomorrow鈥檚 decision makers and this Summit helps them discover the power they have to shape a stronger, healthier community,鈥 said Commissioner Vickie Adamson with the 小黄鸭视频 County Board of Commissioners. 鈥淲e want every young person to see that their voice matters and their actions can make a difference.鈥
