Inclement weather impacts and freezing temperatures expected
Winter weather conditions, including below-freezing temperatures and possible snow, are predicted to impact the county tonight. С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County has adjusted the operating hours of its facilities out of an abundance of caution for the public and its employees.
The County is closing its facilities at 4 p.m. today and will delay opening until noon tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 22.
The only exception is the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ County Animal Center. It will close to the public today at 3 p.m. to enable staff to complete their tasks and get home before the winter weather begins. The Animal Center will open to the public at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
These schedule changes do not include essential personnel, such as law enforcement, EMS and other first responders who work around the clock to protect the public.

Staying Safe
- Avoid driving in snowy or icy conditions whenever possible.
- If you must drive, use caution and maintain a safe following distance from the car in front of you.
- Dress in layers to stay warm during extreme weather conditions.
- When using with a fireplace or space heater, keep all flammable objects at least three feet away from the heat source.
- Never use generators or charcoal-burning grills and stoves inside your home. Keep them outside to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
- Prepare an emergency kit, including water, non-perishable food items, blankets, flashlights, batteries and essential medications in case of power outages.
