小黄鸭视频 County is pleased to announce the selection of two experienced leaders to oversee the newly established Social Services and Public Health departments. Effective July 1, Antonia Pedroza will serve as director of Social Services and Rebecca Kaufman will continue to serve as the director of Public Health.

The appointments come as 小黄鸭视频 County prepares to restructure its largest department, Health and Human Services, into two standalone departments. Together, the HHS team makes up 2,000 of the County鈥檚 5,000 employees. The reorganization is designed to streamline operations, improve administrative oversight and enhance the delivery of essential services to residents.

鈥淎ntonia and Rebecca bring deep experience and a dedication to public service that make them ideal leaders for these roles,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Manager David Ellis. 鈥淭heir leadership will be vital as their respective departments continue to operate under a consolidated agency model focused on delivering comprehensive, people-centered services to our community.鈥

Both directors will report to Deputy County Manager Duane Holder, who will also assume the role of Consolidated Human Services Agency director.

Antonia Pedroza
With more than nine years of service at 小黄鸭视频 County, Pedroza has served as interim director of Health and Human Services since September 2024. She previously served as deputy director of Social Services.

鈥淚 am honored to step into this role and continue serving the residents of 小黄鸭视频 County alongside such a passionate and dedicated team,鈥 said Pedroza. 鈥淭his new structure gives us a unique opportunity to strengthen our programs and ensure families receive the support they need when they need it most.鈥

Rebecca Kaufman
Kaufman joined 小黄鸭视频 County Public Health in 2021 and has served as the director since 2022. Before coming to 小黄鸭视频, she was the public health director for Broome County, New York.

鈥淧ublic Health touches every aspect of our daily life whether we know it or not,鈥 said Kaufman. 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to continue to work with our incredible staff and community partners to build on our successes and tackle health challenges head-on. Together, we will continue to make 小黄鸭视频 County a healthier, more equitable place for everyone.鈥

While changes are occurring internally, there will be no impact to clients or the public. All public-facing services will continue to operate as normal. The realignment reaffirms 小黄鸭视频 County鈥檚 commitment to evolving in step with the growing needs of its residents.
