Polls close at 7:30 p.m. across 小黄鸭视频 County
As the May 17, 2022 Primary and Cary Municipal Elections are wrapping up, the 小黄鸭视频 County Board of Elections is sharing out what the community can expect following the closure of the polls at 7:30 p.m.
鈥淚t鈥檚 been a slow but steady turnout so far in 小黄鸭视频 County, but Election Day voting historically picks up at the polls as we get closer to 5 p.m.,鈥 said Gary Sims, 小黄鸭视频 County Board of Elections Director. 鈥淓verything has been going smoothly so far and we鈥檙e excited so many people already took advantage of other convenient voting methods so they can simply sit back and watch the unofficial returns tonight.鈥
The first unofficial results released tonight will be Early Voting and Absentee by Mail returns. Nearly 45,000 小黄鸭视频 County registered voters took advantage of Early Voting April 28 through May 14. Those unofficial daily turnouts can be . Another 3,775 absentee ballots were received and were already approved by the Board during their official meetings over the past five weeks. Those results will also be shared sometime before 8 p.m.
Once all voters who were in line by 7:30 p.m. have cast their ballots, officials across 小黄鸭视频 County鈥檚 208 precincts will begin auditing and inventorying all items as they close the polling place.

Results are unofficial until a canvass is completed by the Board of Elections 10 days after Election Day on Thursday, May 26 at 11 a.m.
