The two candidates receiving the most votes in the March Republican Primary for N.C. Lieutenant Governor, N.C. Auditor, and U.S. House of Representatives District 13 now face each other in the Second Primary for the nomination.
Voters affiliated with the Republican Party and unaffiliated voters who voted in the Republican Primary or did not vote in March are eligible to vote in the Second Primary. The candidate list, sample ballots, and other information can be found at wake.gov/upcomingelection.
鈥淲ith a U.S. Congressional nomination and two statewide office nominations on the ballot in this Second Primary, we expect another busy election,鈥 said 小黄鸭视频 County Board of Elections Director Olivia McCall. 鈥淐heck our website to see if you have a sample ballot and don鈥檛 hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions.鈥
By law, the Second Primary is a continuation of the first, and new voter registrations and party affiliation updates received after the Feb. 9 deadline will not be processed until after the Canvass Board meeting on May 24. This remains true during the upcoming Early Voting period, and same-day registration is, therefore, not available.
