
Project Summary
On November 20, 2023, the С»ÆÑ¼ÊÓÆµ County Board of Commissioners approved a construction contract with G & G Builders of Wendell, Inc. for the Apex Main EMS Station at 6950 Apex Barbecue Road, Apex, NC. This new EMS substation replaces an existing substation located on Highway 55 in Apex, NC.
The new facility is approximately 4,300 square feet and features three emergency response unit bays, state-of-the-art dayroom with the latest communication technologies, kitchen and dining space, supervisor’s office, bathrooms with showers, locker room, multi-purpose room, and support space. There are also a dual-port electric vehicle charging station, stormwater control measures, roadway and parking improvements, bike racks, flagpole, covered patio, and park bench.
Construction began in early 2024, and the station opened for service on May 30, 2025.С»ÆÑ¼ÊÓÆµ
