What does "Eartipping" mean and why is it done?
Eartipping means the removal of a 1/4-inch tip of a community cat's left ear which is performed while the cat is under anesthesia. It is done to identify the community cat as being sterilized (spayed or neutered) and lawfully vaccinated for rabies.
